Shopping for a new kitchen or bathroom today can be time consuming and confusing. However, you will have a distinct advantage if you can provide your own basic layout or floorplan. Most kitchen and bath stores, including home centers, will ask you for room measurements and in many cases charge a service fee if they have to measure for you.
